Hockey began as a simple ball and stick game, the modern form closest to the original is what we call field hockey. All variations come from this sport. All are amazingly familiar once you grab a stick and begin to play.

Field Hockey After College
Playing opportunities after college.
USA Field Hockey is working on new options so elite players aren't stuck with
three choices: making the USA Team, playing outside the USA, or
just putting the stick in a closet.

Rock-Hard
The level of play continues to climb.
The flow of the match becomes more fluid.
This season we saw the future.
Next season we will live there,
still chasing that rock-hard ball.

With a Stick and a Ball
Hockey never really ends.
While those segments by
which we measure our stature,
the seasons, wax and wane
leading to one culminating event
and another and this award
or no award or this trophy,
held high, or that one removed
and handed to the latest recipient,
Hockey, like all of life,
flows in a forward direction,
it brings us pleasure and pain,
but mostly it is a framework
upon which we hang our hopes,
and really our own well-being
and joy at being alive and running
with a stick and a ball.

Buyer Beware
There is no international brand of field hockey sticks that escapes illegal counterfeiting and black market sales. ALL KNOWN BRANDS, not just Grays, TK, and Dita continue to be placed on the black market.
In an effort to keep loyal Dita players happy, Dita issues the following warning:
AVOID THE FOLLOWING VENDORS :
We are compiling a list of those who are selling counterfeit products. Note that many offer multiple brands.
hockeysticksale.com - so blatant they pirate the USA Field Hockey Association logo!
www.alibaba.com - the sticks here are bogus.
www.oneupgroupinternational.com - low quality fakes.
sportswholeseller.com Is not an authorized Dita distributor.
The sticks they sell are not authentic.
hockeyshowroom.com is not authorized to sell our goods. They are not authentic.
DYNAMIC SPORTS is not authorized to sell our goods. They are not authentic.
kayfarooquee attempts to sell unauthorized sticks on eBay.
Total-Hockey.com is not authorized to sell in the USA.
jannatenterprises.com offers products. We have a report from a victim in Australia.
If it is "NEW" there is a good chance it isn't authentic.
You may want to remain on your guard about used sticks as well. Think twice before bidding.
ONLY BUY FROM AN AUTHORIZED RETAILER. This holds true for all brands of field hockey gear
